About Louisiana’s Audubon Golf Trail
Louisiana’s Audubon Golf Trail is a statewide series of 18 pro-caliber courses offering challenging golf surrounded by the state’s music, cuisine and cultural offerings. Courses are in or near every major Louisiana city, including New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The trail is named for John James Audubon, who painted many of his famous Birds of America series while living near St. Francisville. Here's a look at some of the courses you'll find and what they have to offer.
South Louisiana
Audubon Park Golf Course
New Orleans
Just minutes from downtown New Orleans, the par-62 course features contoured fairways, multiple lagoons and exquisite landscaping set among more centuries-old live oak trees. Designed by Dennis Griffiths, the Golf Club at Audubon Park is fit for golfers of all skill levels but offers lessons for those looking to work on their swing. The park also hosts hiking and biking trails and is home to one of the South’s best zoos. It is the only golf course in America accessible by streetcar, and the same rail line is dotted with a variety of eateries, live music venues, museums and galleries.
Bayou Oaks South Course
New Orleans
Featuring 18 holes of championship golf in New Orleans City Park, the pristine South Course was designed by renowned golf course architect Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead, in association with Torre Design Consortium. The par-72 course boasts a challenging natural landscape, 46 bunkers and multiple water hazards, making it enjoyable for players of all levels, and the state-of-the-art clubhouse is the perfect place to freshen up after your game.
TPC Louisiana

This 7,600-yard, par-72 course in Avondale was designed by master architect Pete Dye. He created the championship course to sit low on the property and challenge players with not only bunkers and water hazards but also natural vegetation, including numerous bald-cypress trees. TPC Louisiana is home to Louisiana’s only PGA event, the annual Zurich Classic. After a few rounds of golf, enjoy classic New Orleans cuisine with a stunning view of the course at the TPC Grill.

Opened in October 2021, Scottish links-inspired Mallard Golf Course in Lake Charles offers five sets of tee boxes, elevated greens and rolling hills for a unique playing experience not often found in the United States.
