Hooper Road/Comite River Park Trail

On the outskirts of Baton Rouge lies BREC Hooper Road Park. This wooded trail system has nearly five miles of winding off-road terrain in the Hooper Road Loop, with a connector that leads to the Comite River trail. While there are some hills, this trail is no serious challenge. The trails weave through thickets of towering, green trees, and it runs along the Cypress Bayou and Comite River.

For an extra dose of adventure, swap a day of mountain biking for electric rides at BREC’s BMX Extreme Park, or take a splash in nearby creeks with the Muddy Water Paddle Company. Whatever you choose, one thing is for certain: the Baton Rouge area teems with opportunities to soak up the Louisiana sunshine.
