Acadia Parish
Halfway between Houston and New Orleans, Acadia Parish offers a convenient, centralized location in the heart of Acadiana. Choose Acadia for your next sporting event, whether it’s football, baseball, softball, tennis, boxing, rodeo, golf, gymnastics or even disc golf. Our rich heritage, envied cuisine and nonstop music will surely lift your spirits, win or lose.
The people of Acadia represent a collection of cultures, creating a flavorful gumbo that is as delightful as our actual foodways. Here in rice country, we have fostered a symbiotic relationship with crawfish that is reflected on the tables in our homes, restaurants, ball parks and fairgrounds.
Acadia is home to the historic Miller Stadium, a turfed field at the Tony Robichaux Sports Complex in Crowley, retaining its original 1950’s feel. It boasts modern amenities on a vintage field. North of Crowley at LSUE, Bengal Stadium features covered batting cages, an open-air pavilion and a state-of-the-art field house. Bengal Stadium has hosted the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament multiple times. Just outside of Eunice in Richard is the Acadian Baptist Center where you’ll find an 18-hole professional disc golf course, junior Olympic-sized pool, 3 ponds and facilities to house 580, feed 700 and seat 1,000.
